SUMMARY:36th Pennsylvania Amputee Open
DESCRIPTION:The Eastern Amputee Golf Association (EAGA) \nwas formed by Bob Buck\, retired National Amputee Golf Association’s Eastern Trustee\, and others who were interested in developing a regional amputee golf association. \nThe EAGA was formed along the same guidelines as that of the National Amputee Golf Association (NAGA) but has its own Officers\, Constitution\, Bylaws\, and Membership Dues. EAGA’s prime purpose is to organize and conduct amputee golfing events and “Learn to Golf” clinics for any physically challenged individual\, provide communication between its members and act as a bridge between its members and the National Association. \nThe EAGA also assists NAGA in conducting the “First Swing” seminars for rehabilitation\, parks and recreation\, and golf professionals. \nThe EAGA conducts two-day golf tournaments and one-day outings and scrambles\, plus its annual three-day major event – Eastern Regional Amputee Golf Championship. It also conducts NAGA “First Swing” Seminars & “Learn to Golf” clinics in our East Region. The EAGA hopes to attract more amputees to experience the fun and excitement of this wonderful game. Through the valiant efforts of our membership\, we are beginning to gain more media attention in the hopes of reaching as many amputees as possible and introducing them to golf and the EAGA.
