Limb Loss Education Day - Philadelphia
The Amputee Coalition is hosting a series of Limb Loss Education Days(LLED’s) across America, and we are proud to be a part of the Philadelphia Event! It will be packed full of activities, educational seminars and interaction between support groups, healthcare providers, and the limb loss community at large. The educational sessions are aimed at providing timely information to the limb loss community about issues such as trends in care and services, public policies related to limb loss and information for amputees and their caregivers which will help them to live fuller lives with limb loss. Educational speakers share their expertise and experience in morning sessions and often over the lunch period as well.
In addition - the Amputee Coalition is collaborating with Orthotic & Prosthetic Activities Foundation (OPAF's) First Clinics and will present First Paddle! First Paddle will offer an introduction into kayaking and give instruction on techniques as well as adaptations to make each experience great. The Clinic will be lead by American Canoe Association Certified instructors and assisted by local kayaking enthusiasts.
We are excited to be a part of this event, and hope to see you out there! For more information, or to register, please visit - Limb Loss Education Day website.
